Where has the time gone?

Where has the time gone?

We are already a quarter into the year! Where has the time gone? We have been so busy that the blog has taken a bit of a back seat of late.

What's happening?

Well loads....

The start of the year has been a bit of a challenge. Unfortunately we suffered three exceptionally bad winter storms. The last two came just days apart and even the non stormy days were still stormy. The upshot is we have suffered a fair bit of damage to our farm and as a result, much of our time has been given over to trying to make repairs.

With an up turn in the weather we are now starting to see light at the end of the tunnel in that regard, which is a relief.

Native Oyster Restoration Activities

As well as the farm operations, Native oyster restoration field work has continued. We have been busy out surveying and we and our partners were also granted Government permission to remove a number of animals as brood stock for various restoration efforts.

This is all good news and we shall share a more detailed update shortly.

Native Oyster Season

Finally, we also just wanted to remind all our customers and friends that the 30th April marks the end our season for Native Oysters. We still have a small volume for sale if you fancy a special treat. Be quick before they are gone!
